So close, yet so far away...

It's about 7:30pm and I'm having a hard time believing that at this time, four days from now, I'll be on an airplane taking off from Detroit Metro Airport en route to Dehli, India. I'll be spending six months abroad in Varanasi, India taking classes, traveling, eating daal and doing a whole host of other things I can't even imagine right now. I'm getting nervous, but it still honestly doesn't feel real - it just seems like I'll be spending another summer in Marshall, Mi, the town that continuously astounds me with its ability to not change. I'm filling the next few days with friends and family, good food (somehow, miraculously, blueberries have come into season early just for me!) and time outdoors. India's getting close, but it still seems incredibly far away. Ah, well! Just a few more days and then I'm peacing out, America.
